Bob Heil is a legend in the Live Concert Sound arena. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently opened a special display of his many designs of the late 60's and early 70's that shaped the landscape of live stages. During his many years touring with such notable as the Grateful Dead, the Who, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and a list of dozens more he was always stymied by the lack of response and natural sound from the microphones. He did what everyone else has done for the past 30 years, equalized the hell out of each microphone and was stuck with it. After all 'It All Starts At The Microphone'.
After a request from his long time friend, Joe Walsh, Bob developed the PR 20, PR 30 and PR 40 dynamic microphones with wide frequency ranges and gorgeous voice articulation.
